my wife and I spent our 10th wedding anniversary in 1999 at a condo in Slidell. Is Vera’s Rats Nest restaurant still there? I know they had some killer seafood.

@Roger – almost everything on Rat’s Nest Rd got washed away during Hurricane Katrina. About all that was left was a bunch of pier pilings – no piers or houses, just hundreds of pilings. Vera’s has reopened on the other side of town, and still has great food!
