For those of you following the evolution of my motorized router lift product, here’s a new video that shows the retail product in action. From this video, you can get a look at the features of the device and the operations that you can perform with it.
The PowerLift by MLCS Woodworking is a truly unique device that expands the operations you can perform on your router table. With a foot-activated Motorized Router Lift you can perform operations similar to that of a plunge router – like mortising, circle cutting, stopped dados, and incremental passes.
The PowerLift is not just about zooming your router up and down to change bits quicker, the device makes your time at the router table more efficient, capable and safer.
I have been using a motorized router lift in my shop for more than 7 years, and I can’t picture using a router table without one.

Thanks for the positive responses guys! Getting woodworkers to experience a motorized router lift is something I’ve been trying to encourage for years. A number of people have built their own motorized router lifts with my guidience, but I’m glad there’s an option now for those that want the “plug and play” version.
