Well I’m having my first craft show today. Cross my fingers. I only found out 2 days ago about it. I saw the ad in one of the local papers, that they throw on the driveway. I was there in the early morning just having my coffee. I cam across this half page ad. It was here in town, just a couple of miles away. I thought why not call and see if she has any openings. I waited a while to call her. I didn’t want to wake her up since I go to bed before the chickens and get up before the roosters. When I called her she asked me what I made I told her and she said great, and I was welcome to join in. The show is only 1 day and on a friday, from 10 to 6. I figure it’s a start to get my name out there. I woke up this morning and I felt like a ONE ARMED PAPER HANGER WITH A BROKEN ARM!!! It reminded me of the first couple of days when I started to work for Ford. I ended up whipping out 11 Wood and 10 Acrylic pens. I defently have decided to get a mat for myself for using the lathe. I will let you all know how it went. That ends up with me having about 50 pens, 11 Jewerly boxs and 4 Bowls, and 1 cutting board since I gave one to my cousin for a Xmas present.

Good luck… sometimes those local fairs bring in more orders.
At least they did for me!

Well it was a very small show. There was about 15 vendors there including myself. And since it was on a friday, i guess I didn’t do to bad. The booth only cost me $17.00 We all just split the costs of the ad, she put out. After said & done I made my booth $ and paid for what I ate while I was there. And I still came home with about $300.00. I know she is going to the show again next year, so we will know more about it earlier. I was also invited to a couple of other show also.
