After a year of struggle to get a body of work together to have a show… I finally did it again. My college, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design is having a weekend Art Sale for it’s students and alumni. The Reception was last night and I was really well received. It was amazing going “home” to where I spent 8 years of my life… to show my peers what I have done with my talent. And I find that I am so proud to be a woodworker.. proud that I make my own frames, my own pedestals, my own bases and support frames for my Bas Reliefs. I do not talk about my work very well.. but I do talk about my adventures in wood and art. I am proud that I create everything from scratch with my own hands and my own dreams. Alas, I also over stressed out my right elbow getting the show together and then hit it on a door frame… and am now on a lifting restriction of 5 lbs. So this show would not have happened without my assistant and the support of my family and friends.

I just love making beautiful things. Thanks for looking.

“No…Wait! she laughed”

“Lily Table”

“Cafe Flowerbox”

“Karmic Justice”

My Assistant pretending to be bored with my work and the whole art scene:

Lot of people and praise:

-- " 'Truth' is like a beautiful flower, unique to each plant and to the season it blossoms ... 'Fact' is the root and leaf, allowing the plant grow and bloom again."

Absolutely beautiful work Eric, and I’m glad to hear that it was well received. May there be many more beauties like these.

That is some beautiful work! Wow! There will be a day in the not-to-distant future where people here will say “I knew him when”, as best as knowing someone on the internet can be.

I’d try to re-post pics, but I don’t know how. What I will call “Running Nude” and the “Flowers in the Field” with that absolutely gorgeous frame are real art, as well as the rest! I hope you do well with your enterprise.

How long does the show run?
I’m in Milwaukee and would like to see it.
