Setting up a new shop
Well, I am back from my latest deployment (Afghanistan this time) and we moved from rainy Texas to sunny Oregon (I may have that backwards). Have not even fully unpacked my shop yet, but plan to get to work on it once I am back in town. Had the third garage wired for 220V so I can upgrade to a larger lathe and bandsaw and hope to be able to crank out some nice projects in the fall. On my latest deployement, I was not able to bring my lathe, so concentrated on doing a lot of hand tool builds. It was fun/interesting, but I have to admit when I do not have the natural knack for something, and hand cut dovetails are my biggest weakness. Anyway, good to be back on the net and to see some ...
