There has been a lot of discussion about the Harbor Freight SCMS saws. I recently purchased the HF Model #98194 miter saw thought I would share my experiences with it. I have desired a sliding compound miter saw for quite a while. But I just couldn’t see spending $500 – $600 for the high end saws. Harbor Freight has lower cost models of sliding miter saws for sale. Part 2: New blade and some real work

I got a chance to work with the HF 12” sliding miter saw again this weekend. I had the saw fairly well adjusted and decided to move on to other issues. The laser included with this saw proved to be a big disappointment. I spent time adjusting it (not a very intuitive process) and tried using it.
