Sicar woodworking 5 in 1 machine

I have dismantled the hole machine and started rebuilding. First I painted the frame in a white color with blue doors

Computer Gas Machine Electric blue Automotive exterior

My son started changing the electric system. When i bought the machine it was a 380 Volt, 3 phase machine. al the three motors are 3 KW. Problem I don,t have 3 phase at home. Only single phase. Therefore i had to use a converter.

Before changing this was the situation:

Gas Machine Automotive exterior Composite material Bumper

And know after starting changing it is:

Gas Machine Electric blue Recreation Plastic

Substantially different i think.
Thank you for reading. Next time more

Sicar woodworking 5 in 1 machine

A liitle more about my Sicar. Last Friday it was the first time I used a welding machine. There was a part changed by the last owner. This part was of a very poor quality. See the picture below:

I tried to order a new part by Sicar, but they were not be able to deliver me a new one. So I welded my own and below you can see the progress:

I am satisfeid with it, but it is not yet finished. Next time more about this spare part.

Riving knife

Hello,

The riving knife was gone. So i had to make a new one. But also the mounting plate was gone. I first started making a mounting plate. I made the plate adjustable so it is possible to make the riving knife in line with the sawblade. You can see it at the picture below. For good understanding there are 2 screws on each corner (you can,t see al the screws on the picture), one for pushing and one for pulling.

I also made a poor mans riving knife. And this is the way I did it with an angle grinder:

Thank you for watching,
A FANTASTIC piece of equipment, Dutchy. 5 in 1 heh? I have not 1 but two ShopSmith which is a table saw - an okay one for rough work, a drill press - I like it, a horizontal boring machine - good, but I use it very little, a band saw - won't saw (rip) a straight line, and a lathe - for beginner only. I use a Rigid brand table saw which I am very unhappy with and will be replacing ASAP. I am considering the SawStop, but it is pricy so it's not in the immediate future. I have never heard of the Sicar, Dutchy. Is it strictly an European machine and runs on 220V? Where is it made, the price and so on. I would very much appreciate hearing a little more about it. I will look for it on the Internet to see if I can find it.
Ancient history: ha ha! When I used to work in Asia, I had a close working relationship with the Holland America line. I've been on the Rotterdam and the Amsterdam and worked closely with many fine Dutch associates with the line. I am recalling some fine memories back when . . . ! That's why I've always had a special place in my heart for the Dutch. I would be honored if you would accept me as your "Buddy" in LJ.
