Mostly all my tyres are ebonized. Therefor I use european oak, which has a lot of tannin. I have made some pictures from it, but also two short videos.

Ebonizing is done with vinagar in combination with rust from steel wool. The steel wool (how finer, how better) is put in a open can with vinagar. After a couple of weeks the remaining steel wool is removed by filtering. Now the vinagar is ready for use.

Dutchy, That vinegar makes mt teeth black when I use it on my salad… am I doing something wrong?
