The tracks are made out of wooden strips. I’m sure there are orther ways for making tracks and I don’t say that mine is the best! So feel free to comment this blog and/or make a suggestion for improvements.

Sounds like (actually reads like) you have sourced one great brand of carpet tape… unfortunately it wouldn’t be available here in Aust. The carpet tape(s) I have managed to buy either grips the wood so well that it splinters when separating, or so weak, that wet newspaper would hold better.

I have… what I’m trying to say is that what I have bought and tried in the past was either too weak (little grip) or too strong where small thin pieces break when trying to remove from the tape. Have yet to find the Goldilocks (just right) carpet tape locally.

I do have some good 2 sided tape but it is not wide enough to do what you do… however, that also is getting a bit too strong for small pieces.

Have a look to my last picture. I don’t remove the small toothpicks. I remove the tape.
