Excavator #3: Track shackles

The tracks are made out of wooden strips. I’m sure there are orther ways for making tracks and I don’t say that mine is the best! So feel free to comment this blog and/or make a suggestion for improvements.

End grain may work for you but I had a couple not live through the drilling going with the grain.
Just my $.02

Clever to put them through the surface sander to set width! I wouldn’t have thought of that.
