Dank Dusty, I have paid a small fortune for the quartson oak mission furniture in my house. It is great to know that a fellow lumberjock has made some of the most incrediablly satisfing furniture that I have ever seen. Your work just brings peace to me. I'm sure it does to you too. Thanks for showing it. :=} Now back to Geocache.com another new hobby of mine.

Dusty, When I first became a lumberjock one of the things after finding my way around was to read 'my old crack house' and then you disappeared. Please show us more of your work including the Glass. You may consider yourself as self taught ( as are many of us) but you have so much to teach. PLEASE .

    Mark Decou,

    Thank You.

I am truly humbled and honored with your kind words.

I tend to shy away from the attention and go about my work quietly.

Again I am honored and happy you enjoyed the TV show.

I was watching one of my favorite shows last night. I was sitting there on the couch, and I saw a preview for an upcoming spot, and I recognized some Mission work, so I couldn't wait to see it. I watch the opening introduction, and if I don't find anything interesting in the episode, I delete it quickly to clear more room on the DVR. But, this time, I saw that glimpse of Mission work, and so I fast forwarded the DVR to that spot.

Then, they introduced the spot, and showed some more work, and I thought, "I've seen that before." Then, they introduced the artist that made all of it and his name was "Dusty" from Minnesota. Then, they panned the rooms of Mission furniture, and I recognized the pieces in the room. I called to "wife", "honey, Dusty from lumberjocks is on t.v." She came running in, the kids came running in, and we all watched with great joy as our buddy Dusty was interviewed, showed his work, showed his lamps being built, showed his stained glass ceiling…....

The episode was "Look What I Did"

Dusty, I can't believe I hadn't heard that you were going to be on tv. The spot of was excellent, and you were shown as true master of your craft….I was very proud of you.

Congrats from one of your big fans!!

I have been checking out your projects and shop. Very nice work. Your skills with the stained glass are very complementary to your style of furniture making.

I think he spends a lot of time in his shop. I noticed a TV mounted. I wonder if there's a cot in the corner, a shower in the back, and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts there's a coffee maker and a Microwave somewhere in there. No real need to go up to the bighouse, except to rest and read what I can only guess is the biggest seller of all time.

Do you mind if I put a link to your site on my home page?
