A little progress update here. I lined the box with spanish cedar, starting with the bottom then the walls and finally the lid. I’m quite happy with how it turned out all pieces are a tight fit and held in place with a couple dots of epox...

I am professional photographer and very new to wood working. Growing up I helped my dad build a number of fences and a couple retaining walls over the years, not much for fine woodworking.. In the last 10 or so years my dad began making log furniture for our cabin as well as a kitchen table amongst other things. I have always been interested woodworking and am finally getting my feet wet. I'm keen to learn more and always looking for advice on how to improve.
