I started building the shop myself about three years ago and added the additional section last summer. As you can see the property is hilly. Also pictured is a solar kiln I am experimenting with. First rule, don’t part it in the shade. I bought a band saw mill with a good friend, cut a bunch of wood and then needed to do something with it, so I made the kiln. Worked pretty well before the leaves on the trees filled out. I have about 500bf of cherry it in now. I built a small table out of it yesterday. It is the first project in which I cut the tree, milled the lumber, dried the lumber, and made something out of it. I really don’t want to think about the actual cost at this point. Came out pretty good (picture in projects section) but I need to put a finish on it.

This is a really nice shop space in which you get to play. I daresay most of us would love to have the ability to cut and dry our own lumber. Your shop appears to be spacious and well organized and you have a nice set of tools in there as well. I would enjoy working in there.
Thanks for posting the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.

I have just looked at the pictures of your shop, and I agree with the above assessments. You have a great shop!! It has everything a woodworker could possibly want. Just one question. Are you thinking of installing hand rails on your stairs at some point? I would get nervous about going up and down those stairs without handrails, especially if I had someone visiting my shop.
Again, great shop!!
