Coffee Table #1: Crayon Removal

What is the best way to lift/remove black crayon from fresh, untreated pine before the final sand / stain , etc. My daughter wrote on the finished side of my coffee table top (my fault). Any recommendations / expertise would be greatly appreciated. The table is 80 %; pictures are soon to follow. Thank you. Doug
