After my grandfather passed in 2010, woodworking found me! My grandfather loved working in his wood shop. He was no master craftsman, but he built anything and everything. I never had a passion or was even curious about working with wood. When grandpa died, it's like it found me. It makes no sense, and now I can't get enough. I would call myself an aspiring woodworker. I am still building my tool collection (which i guess never ends) and learning about dovetails. I have built very little, but slowly make things for my shop to perfect my skills. I love my shop time and I love Lumberjocks. I owe most of what I have learned to Marc Spagnuolo aka The Wood Whisperer. Whether he would like that on his resume, I don't know. Someday maybe I'll be as good as him!
