I was challenged by some acquaintances a while ago to take part in a “Pallet Challenge.”
The Rules:
Wood materials: One Pallet, not purchased
Minimal hardware (screws, nails OK)
1 month timeframe
Document the build
There would be voting on the end results of each of our projects and the winner will get to pick the next contest.
So…
Here’s my Pallet. It was about half of the size of a normal pallet, but I saw it by the dumpsters walking to class one day and had to grab it!
Cut off the edges for quick(er) disassembly
After being Disassembled
Planing Boards for glue-up for stool seat
Clamped and drying seat layer
That’s it for an hour. I plan on building this one hour at a time, since I have finals coming up soon!

Challenged by “some acquaintances”. You mean reddit/r/woodworking, don’t you Mark? Or should I call you Montmark ? Seeing that box in two places is a pretty dead giveaway. I’m “NoCleverNickName” on Reddit, by the way.

I was wondering how long it would take to find some redditors with the cross-post! It’s a pleasure, Brian. Are you going to be making a stool as well?

Haven’t acquired a pallet yet, but it sounds like a fun project.
