Well, I tend not to do things by halves, so I decided to turn my computer failure into an opportunity.

I went out and purchased the biggest, fastest, most up-feature computer I could afford. So here I am sitting in my home-office typing a blog with a wireless keyboard, viewing cricket in a small window in the lower left corner of my display in High Def format, and viewing it all on this amazingly bright screen that has already given me a headache. I am getting a stiff neck, because the width of the display requires constant left to right head movement.

And who ever thought it necessary to have a surround sound system for their computer? Where is this all going? And the think that makes me sickest of all is, I dare not look at any tech ads, for fear of discovering that my hole kit is obsolete.

No – this makes me even sicker – just think of the fantastic woodworking tools I could have purchased with the money. What was I thinking?

Yes, but it’s more exciting in person, so won’t be posting much when it’s happening.

The whole idea and where this is going is they are going to try to keep you out of the laz-y-boy… you get up, go to the kitchen for your morning nourishment and then out to the shop. The living room is going to be obsolete. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, den. Watching pod casts of how to build stuff from your computer. The living room is going the way of the sitting room of years gone by… or the Parlour, the front porch they are all getting weeded out of modern society. The living room is going to transform into the “NEW INDOOR SHOP” Halleluyah! Or maybe ther living room is going to be the SHOWROOM FOR PROJECTS

You’ll get used to the size soon enough, until then you’ll wish you had longer arms! For now, at least, your computer is less obsolete then the rest of ours!

I just got a new PC a few months ago… it was alright up until last week!

Unfortunately, I bought my wife an MP3 player for Christmas, and she seems to think it is her goal to fill up our hard drive with ripped CDs.

So now I’m in the market for an external hard drive. A co-worker showed one to me that is 500 GB for $185. I’m tempted, if only to watch her try and fill it up!

oh the joys of the computer world. I’m sitting here at my laptop really feeling bad about your stiff neck; yah… the monitor must be a real pain.

Let us know when you stop grinning about your new toy, I mean tool
