Tools & Wood
On this set of shelves I keep the tools I want handy. In the red tool box I have my chisels, marking equipment, a Stanley no5 & no7. Nearly all my power tools are makita. The grey box is more portable that I used to take to the club. Now it has all the tools I want handy but don’t always need (eg. hammer, dowel jig etc.) The timber is the larger offcuts from old projects and burls drying. I also keep handy a small amount of glue, oil, and shellac.
My main clamp collection consists of 4×1.5m sash clamps, 4×1.3m F clamps, 6×30cm F clamps, 5 quick release.
Larger pieces of wood I store along side the house. The timber in the picture is largely tas. myrtle set aside for a dinning table.
Machinery
This picture shows my woodfast 12”combo, carbatec 1hp dusty, and some more storage.
Storage
This shelf is dedicated to non-woodworking non-house storage. Eg. camping and gardening gear.
A laundry is not desirable in a woodshop. There’s three metal tool boxes under the carpet where I storage other chemicals and less used tools. The saw horses are made from old trestle table legs I rescued from a church basement and put carpet on to protect projects.
Work Bench
Still a work in progress but the bench sits in front of the window.

Daniel, I have to agree with Larry’s comment about the pictures. I would enjoy a tour of your shop. How about posting some pictures when you get the chance?

hey – having a washer and dryer in the shop could be beneficial in case of mishaps…
the bench looks awesome, and the placement in front of the window is just perfect!

Looks like you have some pretty heavy duty equipment in there. I also have a 1 car garage for a shop. Most of my tools are bench top though. I am fortunate to not have to share the space though. Thanks for posting.

I like the shop so far. I have no problems in seeing the pics. I have a couple of funny questions. Is the washer & dryer for cleaning and dyring your wood? Haven’t heard of that technique before. Just kidding. The bench looks good and strong.

Daniel, this looks like you have a pretty nice shop in which to work. You appear to have utilized the space that you have available fairly well and that certainly is a nice bench. I would enjoy working on a bench like that. And it is nice that you have another area to store your lumber which frees up space in your shop.
Thanks for the pictures. It was fun to tour your shop.
