no previous part Part 1 of Woodshows series Part 2: Sydney - Timber and Working with Wood Expo 2010 - The Tools »

Yesterday we packed up the forester and ventured south to the big smoke (Sydney) for the Timber and Working with Wood Show. Being the (unofficial) largest wood show in the country there was lots to see, do and buy. Overall there seemed to be an higher quality and range on offer than previous years. I’ll break the trip up into a few sections looking at timber, tools, and demonstrations.

I’ve just uploaded a stack of photos of the different timbers of display at the Sydney show this year. I thought it would be interesting for the Americans to see what Australian timbers have to offer. Photos & Blog @ The Love Of Wood.

I listened to a interview this morning on the internet radio. abc.net.au/rn sounds like a great show.

Larry! You missed out. I included the TWC section in honour of you.

On the aussie forums some have said how dissapointed they were in fewer vendors being present this year. Overall though, there was more timber and more hand tools, and less power tools, less machinery and less junk.
