I purchased the Harbor Frieght 7” Rabbeting jointer as I thought it would be a good choice for a beginner to practice and make mistakes. Many things have blocked my path to assemling it. It’s got to be 7 years since I bought it.
This winter I had finished many maintenance projects and commited myself to assembly of my workshop tools.
I own and have assembled the HF Lathe with no difficulty. The jointer? !!! The manual I have is dated 2003. The assembly steps??? The parts diagram? Not writed with any logic. The switch is unassembled with no schematic!
I will get it assembled. It will take time.
Looked for newer manual re: Google, and the HF website. Guess its the Chinese economy and they can’t make them, because the jointer is not on the website!
It’s almost like I’m building my own from scratch?????
If you have experience, knowledge, or even a newer assembly manual, I can use help?
Please no “I told you so” statements as I’m irritated with myself right now..LOL!
