Like your set up, need to get my Alaskan mill fired up this fall. think I will scale down the length of the logs so that I can move them by myself!

Andre,

If they are large diameter logs, I will cut them on the ground in a dimension that allows me to move them. Now days I work as smart as I can, and slowly to be safe. I call it the “woosie” factor.

That must be a proud moment to see your first milled log. Wish I was there to see the expression on your face. Congrats.
At least now I know what happened to the ladder I had stored behind the garage. LOL.

Monte, It ain’t for Woosies ether but I’m gonna have to give it a shot on my walnut log (32 inches) as the guy with the only portable band saw in the area decided not to show.
