I like it you planned out everything very well except for having some young blood to move the wood around.

A1Jim,

Thanks,

And I never expected what I just received in my parking area. Probably going to have a guy with portable bandsaw mill slice and dice. Cause I wouldn’t even get to setting it up. LOL!

Humour…. I have given up …my Texas Chainsaw Massacre joke failed miserably

A friend, now departed unfortunately, actually fitted a 36” blade to his chainsaw and chrome plated the bar.
This saw was a one of creation. You can’t just buy a saw like this. It is a Stihl 066 magnum. This saw was built and chromed out by a dealer in Ca. It had a custom built 36” bar. these saws were built from 1987 to 1996.
From memory he had a ripping chain fitted and experieced no problems with it stalling or bogging down.
I think I have a picture of him with it somewhere if you are interested.

Not only that nobody wanted to see the picture as well …Boo Hiss!!!

So back to the world of reality:

Great job on the video
A a very nice load of timber
and I am with A1Jim some young strapper is needed to assist

Nice that you’ve started milling the logs Tom. That’s some treasure you got, how long to air dry before you can start using it for your projects?

Looks like a great set up Tom. You keep that up and you will be out of room soon LOL.
I’m jealous.

Hey Benji,

Thanks for checking in. The video is a story but there are a lot of chapters. The rack in the video has a 3/4 ton pickup truck full of milled maple. Put that together last fall. My basement is relatively damp. Have a moisture meter but I’m not ready yet. LOL!

The new logs are waiting on a portable bandsaw mill, when he gets time.

I have other dried wood that is more than ready.

Spent some time today making a router jig to route out a lid for my chip collector.

Had to watch it a couple of times Tom, I’m getting old, can’t take it all in that fast :D great to see you now have a good supply of timber, you’ve been busy!

Phil, Hope you hit the like button.

Hope you’re well. Decided to extend my psych stuff for another 2 years as my woodworking wasn’t paying for my machines. And I am working diligently on getting my new dust collector and piping set up.

Missed your smiling face!

Thanks!
