Here is a little fun item on shop safety and hearing protection. It is my first attempt at downloading a video without my son’s help I hope it works.

Jeez, That poor guy! But then all he has to do is work in the mornings since I doubt “the boys” don’t
get up until afternoon.

Well, now how about a video tour of that neat looking shop. Try to shoot on a day when the boys in the band are off on tour. Your shop looks awesome and can I say BIG.

DocK – not much like to music to me, but the wife was standing behind me and said sounds like music to her. I more the talk radio kind of guy. Nice that you share your space for others to pursue what is thier passion. Keep your hearing protection close.

Music’s not bad and the shop looks awesome. Nice of you to share the space and let them be boys.

Hey Doc, I didn’t realize that it was your shop! I thought you were posting a video you found.
That is one fantastic shop you have there even with the noise factored in.

Cool. Did you build the music studio? Do they record too?

Ahhhhh….reminds me of my youth! Poor Mrs. Dennis. We sat in her basement preparing for open mic night in downtown Portland, OR, many a Saturday afternoon. Drove her crazy. Glad the “boys,” have the space, Doc!

Hi Dock.

I watched your shop tour from the barn as well as this video. Both videos were a nice gimpse into your world.

I’m interested in knowing more about the machine in the corner (right before you go upstairs to see the band). It’s a CNC table looking device that has a Hitachi M12V mounted in it. What’s that’s thing?

Thanks,

John
The machine you mention is a Legacy Ornamental Mill. It has a number of routing and turning applications. I just aquired this unit last Sept and hope to post my first large project next week. I has taken awhile and some practice to get comfortable with it’s numerous functions. There are several blogs on this site about it and the official Leagacy site is listed below. They will send you a free demonstation video for the asking. It will give you a good idea on what the machine is capable of.
