I am mainly looking for two things. The first being a club for woodworking in general and the next is a club for tool collecting. I am already apart of the Mid...

I have been wanting to do a simple project for my office to show some skill and entice some of them to commission some work. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a simple project that would take some skill to do but impressive looking. It should also be appropriate for an office setting and not something out of place or distracting. ...

Hand Plane comparison. - 38 replies

I was thinking of doing a research project on comparing different manufactures of planes. Everyone knows about Stanley, Miller Falls, Sargent, Lie Nielsen and Veritas, but what other manufactures were out there? I am not interested in doing any work on any brand that was produced by one of the major makers. An example would be Dunlap or Craftsma...

Antique & Collectible Stanley Tools Guide to Identity & Value 1st and 2nd edition - 0 replies

I managed to get a copy of the first edition and noticed that it is about 400 pages shorter than the 2nd edition. What else is covered in the 2nd edition that’s not in the first? I do know the 1st has nothing about hand saws or any of the newer tools is there anything else? Could someone post a picture of the table of contents from the 2nd?
