Some of you may remember a few weeks back when I had to toss a tenoning jig into the scrap heap... I have been working a little bit on the new jig mentioned there, but today it too went into the scrap bin. Oh, it works just fine. It fits my old fence very nicely, slides very smoothly, is nice and square, etc… etc…

Today, I encountered a problem with the jig – it won’t fit my new fence.

Today my birthday/Christmas present was delivered :) :)

A shiny new Delta 36-714 with a Biesemeyer fence!

Of course, the mobile base didn’t arrive in this delivery and won’t be here until later in the week so I can’t start assembling the saw – so all I can do is look at it and drool. (You can see in the picture that I left the protective covering on the top so the drool won’t harm anything….)

Congratulations, Derek. That is a gorgeous saw but, just guessing, I think that you can live with a new tenoning jig rather than keeping your old saw. :)

Let us know how it performs.

Great looking saw, it should bring you years of solid use.
