What a wonderful story Dennis and Silke and what a fantastic gift Shiela.

Silke looks pretty scary in her witches costume. Make sure she doesn’t park her broomstick on a yellow line or it might get clamped.

Dennis I know how you feel, my son came into the bedroom the other day. Wife was away so it was just me. While jumping up and down on the bed he yelled Daddy, suns up. Daddy, suns up. It was 4.30am. My response was ‘yes, but only just, go back to sleep’. This rationale was lost on my son, so coffee, more coffee and early to bed that night.

Great story. It is great to have friends.

Be well, stay safe.

I am happy to see that the little ‘treats’ arrived so quickly! I had sent some things to Europe before and it took weeks and weeks! I am glad Silke enjoyed the little pin, as it reminded me of her and her kitty (I am sorry, I forget the kitty’s name!) and I hope that she has a fun and safe Halloween! Both of you have added much to the site here and I am sure I am speaking for everyone when I say that we love to hear your stories and see what you two are up to. Thank you for the nice post! :)

Way to go Sheila, you must be a good witch. What’s more Silke and Dennis were a great choice, and as Sheila says we all love hearing about their exploits.
What a nice way to start my day.

So, my question is when does Silke get her own account here at Lj’s? She’s got skills, a great dad and maybe a mentor in the form of Ms. Sheila!

I would bet there are more here that would be willing to help.

I would, but I have about the same skill levels as a person 3 or 4 years younger than Silke!

Last night I had a premature Halloween scare. I was on call and watching TV and suddenly the sound took siren like wail downward, and the the lights dimmed and turned off….......and then a large boom. Poked my head out the door and I could smell…...hmmm…......kinda like fire works, maybe something else. To make a long story short, the power was down for 6 hours…....someone at the hospital noted the most common cause was a Raven touching two wires at once. The Ravens in Alaska are very large. They probably had to replace a transformer…....just a techie thing….......

..........but it was kinda spooky when it happened…....

.....and the Raven said….......NEVERMORE!!!

Dennis, Make sure she stays out of restricted air space. We don’t need that broom coming down in flames. lol

Sheila, those are very cute.

That’s very sweet!

That reminds me that halloween is around the corner; need to stock up on treats.
