Here is a time lapse video of me carving a chair leg, in real time it takes me 16 hours. In this time lapse video it is only 1 min 47 seconds, man I wish I could carve that fast in real life.

Here is the video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtzfpNueQCM

I’m almost done with the 8 chairs that go with the dinning table I made a few months back. Here is a link to the table

Click for details

The first leg took me about 40 hours including a clay model, after a few legs I got my time down to 16 hours a leg.

The rest of the chairs with the back legs, rails, backs, etc there is a ton of work, should be done in about two weeks.

Time Lapse Videos are really cool to watch, I hope you like it! Take care, and happy woodworking!!!

Cool video Dennis. I know what you mean about wishing you were that fast. I’ve posted a couple of marquetry assembly at a speed that I would like to be able to accomplish in real life. ..... :-)

These are going to be gorgeous.

Nice film Dennis ! Lets non-carvers see the work involved . Informative and the end result speaks for itself ! Very nicely done !
