I’ve been working on this really cool coffee table for about three months now. The customer wanted a big coffee table to set in front of a very large massive fireplace in there great room.

I’m almost done with the base, which has a ton of carving. I first had to make a clay model of the ball and claw foot and carving for the apron to get the look they were after.

Next I will be starting the top, it has some very beautiful parquetry and inlays, with a really cool 1 3/4” think edge profile. I’m hoping to be done by the end of the month. Here is a few pictures of me working on the base, along with my cat Snickers, he loves to watch me work.

Thanks for looking.

Outstanding. When you deliver it, if you get a chance, get a picture of it in the great room. Must be some house!

So nice Dennis. Snickers is one lucky guy.
I’d love to be able to sit and watch you carve.
