My bench can sure get messy and a bit unorganized but it is all part of the fun. I have been busy building three new jewelry boxes one with, one without marquetry, and one for a customer. Making three of them at one time is taking longer then I expected, but it is way more productive.

I can’t reveal too much but thought I would share a few sneak peeks photos on what I am working on. I have been really enjoying this new adventure in my woodworking. Taking what I am building and putting it all together for my book has been exciting. It is great working with Peter at Taunton Press my book is scheduled “to be published in 2013”

If you get a chance take a look at our web-site http://www.zongkers.com/ Patti has been adding a lot of our completed furniture pieces. Everyday something new is being added it has been fun and exciting to see all the new changes.

Dennis,
I’d say they were looking good, but that would hardly do them justice! Can’t wait to see more.

Hi Dennis.
These are going to be spectacular.
I love the way you have approached the marquetry with relatively simple cutting but excellent design and detail.
It is so easy to get caught up in trying to make the cutting the star and ending up with something “busy”.
Your Rose design is just right. .... Elegant.

Thanks for giving the rest of us something to aspire to.

Dennis,

It is always a pleasure to see your work and works in progress. I didn’t know that you were working on a book but I will be sure to have copy in my library when it comes out. I haven’t been on your website for awhile so I will have to check out what Patti has published there.

Just a peak! You are such a tease! I know they will be beautiful and can’t wait to see the finished pieces.

I keep looking for what is messy about that shop. That is really a nice set up you have made for yourself and it’s helped you to turn out some beautiful work.

The Greenman is incredible. Thanks for sharing.
