It’s hard to believe I have been here on Lumberjocks for a full year today. What a inspiration this web site & the woodworkers have given to me. I have many great friends that I met on this web site. I wanted to thank you for supporting me though good times and bad times. I ended up having back surgery two week ago. I’m hoping to be back woodworking soon. I never thought I would miss working so much. All the woodworking on this site has keep me thinking positive. Thank you Lumberjocks.

Happy 1st year Dennis…........... Sorry that you have had to undergo the back surgery but hope all went well and that you will be back to making your absolutely fantastic masterpieces. You and many other LJ’s have been and inspiration to me as well. I am hoping that I will get the chance to “attempt” some of the carving that you do.
Take it easy during your recovery and look forward to more projects in the future!!

Howdy Dennis, I too say Happy Anniversary. Your work is so remarkable and always a pleasure to look at. I hope your back surgery recovery is a swift one for you so that you can get back in the shop, as it is obvious by your work you were indeed meant to be an artist of wood. Good Luck to you! And again Hppy Anniversary!!!
PEACE!!!

Happy anniversary, Dennis. Mend up at your own pace. The work and the wood will be there when you are ready. Like everyone, I’m glad for what you add to LJ’s, and I certainly consider myself fortunate to have met you. Can’t wait to pester you with a million questions about marquetry.

Hey Dennis – Let me echo the feelings of all the others who have commented, and we share very close the same time frame on the one year anniversary, it is only 5 more days and I will celebrate the same. I have kept up communications with Patti on your recovery, so through her I know how your doing and am very glad to see you feel well enough to post this entry. You have a great sweetheart there, and I know she has been an angel for you with her assistance and help through this ordeal. The prayers are still being said for you, and I wish you a fast recovery, we all miss your fantastic work you do, it hasn’t been the same without you.

Congratulations, Dennis. It is good to hear from you and I am sure that Patti is taking good care of you. Just take it easy with getting back into the shop. Everything will still be there when you are able to get around better.
