Marquetry Panels, "Greek & Roman Mythology" #2: Selecting Veneer, Cutting, Gluing

Here are a few pictures of me selecting the veneers, piecing together the veneer packet. Then with hot animal glue applying paper to the veneer. This keeps the veneers together while flattening each layer, keeping the veneer together while cutting the veneer packet.Then nailing the packet to a piece of plywood with small brad nails, each packet has 10 sheets of veneer for one finished marquetry panel.By prying off the 10 pieces of veneer from the plywood and flipping over to snip off the tip of the nails. Then with a small pin hammer I rivet the nail to the backside of the veneer packet.With a scroll saw and a jewelers blade 1# cut out all the pieces, then hot silicone sand to shade the p...
