Hi all, hope life is good. As many of you know I’m the Delta guy, and inform you off delta’s news as fast as possible.
Delta is coming out with some new equipment. I thought I would share it with you all.
What do all think.

Not really that impressed. Half my shop is delta at this point and I like the brand but I don’t see myself buying most of these. The msrp on the 14” bandsaw is 875 from what I can find, yes the two speeds would be nice to have and I would really be interested in the larger motor but only a 6” resaw on a 14” saw? My old 12” delta saw that I would like to replace can easily cut 6.5” and although the fit is tight I have resawn a couple 7” boards. The 1/2hp motor is just slower then I’d like. I can’t even find a price for the deluxe version which can do wide boards but I suspect there are a lot of alternatives at the price point it will have.

The one shining example I do see there is the air cleaner. I plan to get one later this year and I’m sure I will be able to find it at that time in the 350ish price range. Close in price to most of the other brands but in a brand I know and trust.

As for the bandsaw I wouldn’t buy anything other than to have a 12” resaw cap. It doesn’t look that bad though. It would do a lot for most of the people as a hobbiest. The Dust collector looks as if it would do a pretty good job, I have a large dust collector. I’m not fimialliar with the words pretaining to the DC risticted and unresticed. The scrollsaw to me would be worth looking at. I have a old scroll saw. If I used it more I would think about looking into it..

Thanks for letting us know about the new products.

I like the 50-905 dust collector. Lots of guys are buying the 50-760 and adding Thien separators and Wynn filters. So the 50-905 accomplishes that without the the hassle and maintains a small foot print. I would be very interested in the price of that product as a dust collector is very likely going to be my next big tool purchase. When is it going to be available?

I like the dust collector, but for the bandsaws to me it’s a shame that there not sticking with there original design of the 14” bandsaw. For peat’s sack they pioneered the 14” bandsaw…

I don’t know when these are going to be available. Maybe in the next two months.

The 28-401 bandsaw looks just like the Rikon 14” deluxe that I have, except for the paint scheme and a few minor details.

I like the look of that cyclone! The boxy bandsaws are here to stay. Overall, I think the machines are pretty attractive. Way better than the PM Onyx:)
