Hi all, Hope life is good. I though I would share with you all this video by Frank Byers at the woodcraft blog.
He took a tour and let me say what an amazing time he must of had. This is why I buy Delta tools. When watching this video you can see the craftsmanship and american pride put into these tools. The facility has an amazing set up.
I’m glade that I buy tools from a name that still makes there tools here the USA and gives american jobs to the people.

Anyways I hope you Enjoy.

What do you think…

I thought Delta would be moving their manufacturing to Taiwan. Looks like someone does still make tools in the USA. I guess i will start saving my money for Delta tools.

Thats what I like to hear. The thing is most the American made tools are going for about the same as the imports from Powermatic, Jet, General. Why not spend for American made.

I know some of the Metal machinery is still made here. When it comes to machinery its thin. The USA makes the smaller stuff which is not great. The USA needs to make the big stuff.

I look on my local craigslist and I look for mid 90’s late 80’s Delta machinery and can get some great deals and Are made in the USA. At this moment Delta is only making a few things in the USA. X5 bandsaw, RAS, Table saw, and line boring machine. Also jigs and add features which I really like.

The craigslist rout or local add is a good way to go to find American made. It might need a little work some times but in the long run your getting a machine that will outlive you.

I only wish I can find an American made Delta 15” planer. They never made the model I like here. They made in Brazil and then Asia…..
