Hi everyone. So today I counted up my cash and found that I was able to spare $600.00 for a New Band saw.
(Thank good for my commsioned jobs)... Any ways for about a 4 months I have been looking at Delta’s 14” 28-206 model band saw. I saw it a Rockler and looks like a good one. I have not seen any reviews on this saw on LJ’s and was wondering if any fellow LJ’s have this band saw and what there opinions on this Band Saw are?
GOOD?, Bad? OK?, waste of money??
The saw goes for $700.00 Retail, but Rockler is having a sale until the end of the month and I can pick it up for $595.00
Thanks, Michael Frey

I have a Jet now but had a Delta years ago. I sold all my woodworking equipment when I moved back to Iowa. It was a good saw then but went with a Jet because of a package deal and liked the 12” resaw I could get with it. I would recommend the Delta saw but also like the Jet. Have fun buying your new saw.
God Bless
tom.

I have a delta 14” but not the same base as pictured. I bought mine at Lowes on sale for 299. plus 15% off sale plus additional $100. off for buying 2 different machines at same time and a double french door. I’m bragging now! This saw is a pretty good saw except not sawing deep enough for re-sawing so I ordered a 6” riser kit so I can now re-saw 12”. Mostly I re-saw in the 6 to 10 inch range. Just have to saw slowly to make up for the mass. I give it thumbs up.
