I'm pretty much a self-trained, hobbyist woodworker that has benefited greatly from wordworking help sites and forums such as lumberjocks.com. I have been wordworking for about a year now (since summer '08) and have been drawn into the craft full-force. I see my lack of formal training as both a blessing and a curse, as I have had to work my way through some tough problems, but have developed a style all my own while still allowing much room to learn from the collective experience and knowledge of those who have come before me. I have a background in math and science (problem-solving) and a love of working with my hands that explains my being here.

Hello Dan,

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.
