Trying my first end grain checkerboard pattern block. Picture is the second glue up after flipping the blocks to form the pattern. (Note to self), make sure to re-stack blocks in same order they were cut in

Did the surfacing on the first glue up. Will just need a light sanding after the round-over.

Well it came out pretty nice. Sealed with mineral oil and beeswax. Added some rubber feet to the bottom for anti-skid. Also added some recess finger grooves at the ends. Great process to learn, enjoyed it very much.
