Well I’ve finally taken the plunge and purchased a new LG900 60 Watt Laser.
A picture of one is here:

I put all of the blame totally on my brother in law for this purchase because he recently bought a 35 watt system and when I went and seen it operate I had to have one. They are totally amazing what they can do.
I won’t recieve it for about 30 days because I orderd a bunch of options for it and they did not have it in stock. It will be worth the wait though.
The INCREDIBLE accuracy they put out blows me away. I really look forward to playing with my new toy..:)
I’ll be posting some of my projects once I have it in operation.

WOW dave. Must be nice. I’ve seen those things work and they can do some amazing things. Good luck with your new toy.

Thanks Jerry… Now I’d better get creaive with my design work. You use CorelDraw to operate the system.
Quite amazing things can be done with it. I’ve done TONS of research before taking this plunge and hopefully I’ve got all of my ducks in a row now..:)

Wow, Dave. Christmas came early for you!! This looks like a wonderful tool and should be a nice addition to your shop. Of course I assume that you have made room for it. :)

Have fun with the new toy and keep us posted on what you are doing with it when you get it up and running.

Hi Scott,
Room..Oh no I never thought about that .LOL. Actually my other Brother in Law has a huge shop and donated me a 10×10 area to put it. I just have to go and help him frame in the area, is all. It will give me something to do while I’m waiting for it. You have to vent them outside so it makes a perfect place to locate it.

Wow! that is cool congratulations.

I am not sure which is worse tool envy or wood envy…but I seem to suffer from them both, especially when I spend time here at Lumberjocks.

I look forward to seeing the output from your new machine.
