Kenpo Black Belt rack

My daughters Karate teacher had an old rinky-dink belt rack that held his belts with a zip-tie. It was exposed to dust and open air. For an 8 Degree Master Kenpo instructor, I’m sure his belts are of little concern to him. It’s his students that matter most. So I did him a favor and made this box for free! It’s made of select pine from Lowe’s. Each piece of wood was hand picked to give the best grain detail. I stained it with a red mahogany and used 3 layers of poly clear coat, lightly sanding in between coats. I used plexy instead of glass and told him he can always change it if he likes. The top is screwed in with 4 screws to allow him to slide the glass up to insert future belts. He was very surprised and very happy to see that his belts are now taken care of and worthy of display. And of course a bunch of Mom’s were asking where they can get one for their child.

Navy Aircraft Carrier coin rack

I started off making these to test what little skill I have… they were a hit. So that’s what started my whole JET coin rack projects. Trying to constantly challenge myself. Plus I’ve seen some online go for so much money and after making a few, I realized I can make them on my own and wasn’t going to shell out all that money for’em.

Combination cover box

This one is a cabernet stained pine with a glass top. I only use glass since plexy likes to scratch, and yes they’re replaceable with just a few screws to remove the frame. Officers have taken a liking on my boxes normally made for Chief Petty Officers.
