Wayne -

Thanks. I was just listening to Matt’s podcast featuring your kit for checking out handplanes. A mentioned, looking forward to outting this into practice this next couple of weeks as we will be on vacation in the D.C. area. My son is a big Civil War / Revolutionary War buff and we are always on the lookout for relics in the antique malls and junk stores. I will be adding handplanes to our searches! Will keep you posted. Again, thanks for the timely posting on handplanes.

David: it’s got to be tough working on your bench with the lumber storage there.

David,
I looked at your shop pics. quite awhile ago. I thought I’d made a comment then.
It’s really neat and well organized.

I’m still ashamed to show mine yet. It’s always such a mess.

Dick – Thanks! I like your work area and I always admire your postings!

Wayne – Things have been busy with regular work. I am contemplating what I want to build. I think I will start with a basic bench / assmbly table and build a more classic bench in the future. I really need some “flat surface real estate” to work on!

Lol. Then you better get cracking.

I picked up a Sjobergs bench for my mother in law today. It was on Craigs list. She has been wanting one for a while.

I don’t know why I hadn’t stopped by your shop yet, but it is great. When I need to borrow some tools now I know where to go!

Howdy Dave, VERY nice setup ! There is a chance I am going to be in Portland in September/October. I work for Cascade Corporation (the aussie arm anyway) and our company headquarters are in your home town. If the trip eventuates I will drop you an email, maybe we can get together for a beer.

Hi David,

I just now got around to looking at your shop post. I can see that you have a nice shop space and some nice tools to play with.

Thanks for the shop tour. I really appreciate it.
