Hello to all, My name is Dave. I am 40 years old, I have been married for 19 years. I have 5 kids 4 boys and 1 girl. All my kids enjoy working out in my wood shop. They all enjoy woodworking. My wife, not so much. But she likes every thing I make. I have been woodworking on and off since high school. On a skill scale of 1 to 10, (10 being the best) I would say I am a 4. I enjoy building furniture and hand planes and hand tools. My wood shop is 24 X 30 and is what I call my get away zone. I really like learning new things and how others do them. So I cant wait to meet all of you. I also enjoy collecting old woodworking tools. I like to look at others woodworking projects and old furniture from our past. They all have a story to tell and theres never two the same.

Just as a side note, I’m in Sacramento. I wandered up your way last weekend. I made it as far north as Anderson. I was looking for old tools in some of the Antique stores… Interesting planes in your icon, did you make them?
