well, since I’m laying in the hammock in the backyard sipping on a nice cold iced tea, I’d have to ring my assistant to change the angle for me…

but otherwise, I’d use the protractor to make a guide for the new angle, and then use the move tool to move the edge of the slot until it sticks to the new marker.

I’d explode the tail and move the edges. Then group the tail and do an intersect to cut the other piece. But I’m a newb.

Dave,

I know my approach won’t be the same as yours, probably a little (a lot?) kludgey, but here goes:

Opening the component of the male part for editing, I draw 14º guidelines in on the dovetail, follow them to make triangular faces on the end of the piece and push them down to the other end of the tail.
Getting back out of the component, and making sure the mating side is not a component, I moved the altered piece to the face of the other one and integrate with model.
Pulling the first piece (component) away, I just push the extra pieces out of the female part of the sliding dovetail.
That’s the way I thought of.
Tell us your way? Please? Please? Please?

Heh heh heh heh.

I’ll wager I’m off by a mile!

I’d use PurpLev’s assistant, too.

Actually, he got it right away. I’ll add that I would shift to X-ray view so as to be able to see the edge that needs to be selected. This would eliminate the need to hide or move the other component.

I would send you an IM and ask you to do it for me cause I’m sitting on my deck having a cold one and throwing a ball for my dog…
Just kidding…what Purp said…but I wouldn’t go into Xray mode..too much Gamma rays are not good for you..

You mean you don’t have a lead-lined shirt that you where while working at your computer?

Save me one of those cold ones.

So on to the next one.

Well, I don’t know about everyone else but, I’d send it to Dave and let him fix it

I’d do that for you, too, Gary. ;)

This might give you some ideas for those funny legs.
