Having a basement shop can be challenging size wise but I don’t have to go very far to get to the shop. Lathe work seems to be the latest vortex I’ve fallen into so most of future expansion will focus on accessories geared towards that tool.
Main area is 22’ x 32’ that I share with the normal house stuff like washer, dryer, freezer & furnace. Also have 2 rooms 6’ x 32’ at each end of the shop that serve as lumber storage and space for dust collection. HF unit with Wynn filter plus Super Dust Deputy serves lathe and Grizzly band saw. Have shop vac plus separator for general clean up. Other end of the shop has a 2hp Grizzly DC with pleated filter plus trash can separator for the other 4” connector units. Rockler 1200 air filter suspended from floor joists to keep the wife happy.
All equipment is on mobile bases.
