I bought this band saw three years ago as part of the 3 benchtop tools that I felt I needed. I don’t remember shopping around much, but it was just before my surgery, so I may have had better things to remember. I do know that the price of the saw at Lowes was a deciding factor. Out of the box I only had to install the table with four bolts (supplied.) The tools come with the saw for any adjustments you need to make. You get a metric wrench (10mm/13mm) and an 1/8 inch (by my caliper)...

I bought this saw several years ago as my first table saw. I shopped around for what I could afford and decided that this was the one I wanted. In no way to I regret that decision. Coming into the hobby from the ground up I wanted a saw that had all its parts. I would have been pretty clueless about any Craigslist buy as to features, missing pieces, etc. Aside from the metal stand, there was no assembly necessary to get this saw up and running. My drill press is the third bench top tool I bought for my shop. For the price range I think it was a great buy. Out of the box it assembled easily and has served me well. The cross hair laser is helpful for hitting the mark and the on/off switch is right in the front for immediate access. Speed changes are made by moving the drive belt up or down a pair of stepped pulleys. The square table has slots to allow attachment of hold downs or a table.
