The best-laid plans of mice and men…

Life has been getting in my way of woodworking these last few months. Last summer I was hoping to start putting out a video every month or so, but things just kept happening. I had projects planned, little things I wanted to do, but I haven’t gotten to them. The few projects that I’ve done, I have shot video of, so at least I have a stockpile of material.

I’m trying to get only my second video done this week. Things look pretty good for that happening. I only have the eding to do, and most of that only on the English version. I’ve learned a few things about how I personally should go about things:

I should shoot the video segments, edit them down, THEN write the script. I’m doing voice overs for my videos, since I’m doing them bilingually. Twice now I’ve written the script, recorded the voice over, then edited the video down and both times, I either had to add some comment because I forgot it, or had to split the video because I had the script written out of order.

I have a few things I need to build in the next few months. There’s also a few things I just want to build. Let’s hope life doesn’t jump in front of me too much.

Dave, I’m looking forward to your videos, I always like an opportunity to learn something about woodworking. If life gets in the way however, one must attend to family matters first.
Hope to see your productions soon,
