So my wife is asking me to make a series of these chairs for our patio rather then buying a new set of furniture. Each chair is made from 3 pallets of wood. Does any one have any suggestions on how they should be finished. Being new to woodworking, I am unsure how best to finish this project and keep it protected from the elements at the same time. Any ideas?

Great ideas guys. I am a little concerned with black paint, do you know how that would feel in the summer? It gets really hot here in the summer, do you know if that makes the seat too hot for guests?

Have your say...
