    Thank you, and yes slate makes a great top to a table. I built another table for outdoors out of redwood just for fun about 22 years ago. My wife asked me to put it indoors. This oak and stain really took a life and solidness of their own.

    Used band saw, box cutter, drill, dremel tool.

    I am not sure how this works but just wanted to say thanks to everyone and tell you ta you all do great work, (But I am sure that you all know that). I spend as much time as I can in my shop, and love what I do. My wife looks over everything I do and lets me know what I have to fix. The way you all talk she must do a good job,,lololol

    Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
