It’s been a great place to hang out several times a day and see what’s going on in the woodworking community. I enjoy the projects, tool reviews and the forums and all the banter that goes on between the jocks on many different subjects. My year here has been rewarding in that I’ve learned many things, gotten many ideas for future projects, and ideas on how to make current in-the-pipeline projects better. Many of you have become as familiar to me as did the co-workers I used to work with at the factory. This truly is a great place and I’m glad to have been a part of it for the past year and, hopefully, for years to come. While I haven’t posted a project in awhile I’m currently working on a TV stand for the BOSS’S new 47” flat screen tv. It’s 48” wide by 36” high with 4 bays for components above two sections with 3 drawers each for DVD storage. The BOSS wants raised panel doors on this thing, something I haven’t done before. The good thing is she allowed me to purchase a router bit set for the rails and stiles and a bit for the raised panel. Of course, she has other projects in mind to use those bits on so they aren’t a one project wonder. Anyway, I’m ready to start the doors today and with luck and a break in the heat I hope to have this thing done in a few weeks. Thanks to all Lumberjocks for a great first year.
