I need to buy a new motor for a delta unisaw i just refurbished. i have seen the the blogs and reviews for the leeson 3hp motor. however my question is there is a 3hp grizzly motor that continues to pop up when i search for motors, (link will be provided below). does anyone know or have experience with if this motor will fit on the unisaw?

No experience with the Grizzly motor, but you can also buy adapter plates that allow for a standard frame motor to be used which will save some $$. The link was in an earlier post about pre 1942 unisaws.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of motor are you replacing? If it’s an old RI Bullet motor? If so, I’d be interested.

Information directly from the ad as follows….
Motor is single phase, NEMA 56 frames. Not for air compressor use.
Motor: 3 HP, 220V, single-phase, 3450 RPM, TEFC capacitor-start induction
Clockwise rotation

-- I'm absolutely positive that I couldn't be more uncertain!
