I am a 40 yr old female artist . I do woodburning, charcoal drawings and portraits, build rustic furniture, paint, etc. I am fortunate to have a man that stands by my love for art and is there to help me with anything I need. I love to do Native American art most of all. Please feel free to comment on my work. So glad to be back !!! Just praying that I get to where I can draw as well as I use to before my downfall from health. That is the hardest thing to accept... Not being able to do all the cutting, etc. anymore doesn't help matters. But I am on my way.....
Also wanted to add that I am a self-taught artist. Never went to art school. Never watched any videos, never read any books, etc to learn any of my art work. I use only 1 tip to do all my woodburnings. I only get that 1 tip when I purchase backup. Cause believe me I have burned up and broke many of them ...
After all I see no reason to by several different types of tips if you can work with only 1. It isn't tip that does it ,... it is the person behind the equipment. Thank you all for your comments... They are much appreciated.
And I can take criticism well too. After all if you are doing something wrong it never hurts to be told so right???
I also would like to add that I joined lumberjocks several years ago but went through a separation and had to go to work for awhile and was unable to continue with doing my woodwork. And lost all my old account information. I have recieved some mail containing comments about "taking away from others by posting several items at a time" ... didn't mean to make anyone feel that way. After all it is just woodburns and I was trying to get some of my work up in my gallery. The ones I posted a couple of days ago contained no building like when I do my rustic furniture, etc. I do not understand how posting several takes away from anyone's work. If someone likes what they are looking at they will view it . If they want to comment they will. If they don't they won't. I look at several items and never comment. Not because I don't like the item... but simply because it would take a long time to comment on all that I like. Sorry if I have offended anyone.

I am a fairly new member to LJ and I am still finding my way around the site; so much of it. Your work looks excellent, wood burning not one of my stronger points, but I do admire it. Sorry to hear you have not been well but keep up the good work; that which you enjoy doing can be a good healer.

Love your work. Health issues suck. Glad to see you’re fighting through them. Keep up the work.

Thanks rilanda and Monte… I am very lucky that I didn’t lose the use of my hands and legs. So thankful that I can still do my woodwork..drawing,woodburning,etc. As I don’t know what I would have done if I would have lost that. My biggest obstacle to overcome has been memory loss… that is hard to get use to. But I am adjusting.

Thank you very much Intarsia 92…. I have several Native American woodburns that are polyrethaned and completed but hard to capture the burn with my camera. Seem to be getting a glare if use flash…. guess I am going to try and just take some anyway and post them soon.
