50 inch Digital Camera Tripod for $6.99 plus free shipping on eBay

Hey Guys ! Great deal on a tripod for your digital cameras. Very light duty, but holds the camera very still. Below is a camera test slide show … I took 16 photos in a dark room around 10:30 at night. Photos are each at a different combinations of camera settings, alternating between types of flash and focus settings. With the tripod I took 16 photos in a row, without blur. Granted the photos suck, but the tripod held the camera very steady....link to ebay seller...link to an auct...

Great Kit to repair my ole Dewalt Random Orbital Sander Hook & Loop pad

Great Kit to repair my ole Dewalt Random Orbital Sander Hook & Loop pad

06-14-2009 06:10 AM by Dan'um Style | 14 comments »

I’m on my 2nd Dewalt random orbital sander … ..As anyone who uses hook and loop sanders know, if the sand paper ever comes off while working ,the Velcro pad on the sander gets messed up real quick . Sandpaper will never stick right again. I’ve gone thru the process of replacing the factory replacement part four times. Three times on the oldest sander and one time on my newer piece, Not cheap... ...I found Ali-Gator-grit repair kit for 11 bucks at Lowes. It comes with...

LOCKTITE POWER GRAB REALLY SUCKED .... * WORST ADHESIVE ON PLANET EARTH*

LOCKTITE POWER GRAB REALLY SUCKED .... * WORST ADHESIVE ON PLANET EARTH*

LOCKTITE POWER GRAB is crap. I glued and clamped six large landscape tiles to a plywood board with Power Grab thinking it would be an improvement over my normal method of Gorilla Glue (sometimes a little messy). NOT I HAVE NEVER in all my years used anything that worked so poorly. REALLY REALLY BAD. Last night I applied 3/4 a tube to fasten my tiles to a plywood backer board. I lightly clamped the tiles with spring clamps and let it setup OVERNIGHT ... (over 20hours). Came home...

Gorilla Tape

Gorilla Tape

09-28-2008 05:53 AM by Dan'um Style | 10 comments »

I won a 2nd prize in Gorilla Glue Challenge. Winners received Gorilla Glue’s products and a Gorilla Glue t-shirt. Got a nice box of various Gorilla glues and a roll of tape. I’ve been using Gorilla Glue products for years, so it was a excellent prize. Peggy enjoys wearing the Gorilla tee-shirt too. Today I used the tape and want to share a handy use for them. My tile KILN needed an element changed . Kiln sits on the concrete floor of my back porch, It is a front loading ki...

Shopsmith Joint Matic - Horizonal Router

Shopsmith Joint Matic - Horizonal Router

First I must say that the photos are not mine. I surfed the net and found them. This review is for a discontinued tool. Can’t buy it new anymore, but if you find one, grab it. It is a rare tool. Shopsmith originally sold for $999. There is currently one for sale on craigslist.org in Dallas for $600 I bought mine on eBay a few years ago. It came with a Porter Cable router base that fits my 690.Even came with the optional Shopsmith stand. I got one heck of a bargain. Paid twice a...

works good enough for what I use it for ! Harbor Freight 1/2" Bandfile Belt Sander

Hello Fellow Lumberjocks Bought this sander about a year ago. It had low price. Worked good the first time and has not let me down since. Not a tool I use everyday, but find myself using it enough that I always keep it handy,... within reach. Coarse grit sandpaper removes stock quickly and the tool is easy to guide and control. Gave it 4 stars because we know it is a made-in-China-throw-away. For $35 bucks it’s a good deal. If it died tomorrow, would probably buy another, rathe...
